Hello. My name is Jami Parrish and I am a therapist and life coach with an expertise in treating sexual addiction and money and work disorders. My journey to this place has been an interesting one. My work varied experience lead to my interest financial psychology; I worked both as a medical recruiter and executive compensation consultant. The company's clientele were Fortune 1000 and S&P 500 companies, their lawyers, and the media. Seeing the dynamics of corporations and executives and other professionals was fascinating from a psychological perspective. Finally, my original interest in psychology was neuroscience, in the 1990's I studied consciousness and the brain with Dr. Karl Pribram. I worked as a research assistant on various studies including electroencephalography (EEG). I was fortunate as an undergraduate (and after) to be able to work in a graduate level capacity and to be mentored by a true genius.
I am also an interfaith spiritual director. My focus is on helping individual become true to themselves and avoid spiritual bypassing and the pitfalls of spiritual materialism. The spirituality of money is a new interest, as we tend to demonize money.
All ventures in life and life itself are a creative process. Living fully means living creatively in whatever form that takes for you. Ideas and connections are an integral part of the creative process and I hope this blog helps stimulate your ideas and your own inner (and outer) processes.
